Travels of a plein air painter

October and November have been busy months for me.  I have been traveling and painting nonstop, or so it seems.  But I love painting so much.  This schedule has kept me on my toes.  And I have been able to see progression in my work.  The above painting is titled "Beaver Dam View."  It was Done in the Lost Park Wilderness.  I really like this spot, I plan to return to do more studies.  I think this would be a good spot to do a larger painting, I really enjoy this scene.  I was so far from any civilization, It is a great feeling to be so far in the forest that you actually feel like an explorer.  What a great time this painting was.  Even if it was cold.  I can't wait to paint here again.

For those of you in Denver the month of December, check out two more of my paintings from this painting trip.  The show is PAAC Miniature Winter Show @ Gallery 821, Denver, Colorado.  Hope to see you there!
