Travels of a plein air painter

For everyone who loves aspens, here is another photo of the aspens turning yellow on the mountain.  The Pike National Forest has a lot to offer, camping, horse back riding at dude ranches on the Tarryall, Fishing, Fly as well  as from a boat in the Reservoir, hiking etc.... Oh yeh, not to mention plein air painting!!!

Today I went to this spot to paint the aspens. I was able to paint for about one hour, when the bottom fell out.  Rain, hail , and then the tempature dropped ten degrees.  I guess its not in the cards for me to paint today.  At least I was able to get in a good foundation.  Ill come back tomorrow!

I really love this one Debbie. Makes me homesick for more woodsy places than where I live now.
