Travels of a plein air painter

This painting is at the Wildcatter Ranch.  About 7 miles south of Graham Texas.  This is a beautiful Ranch with expansive views, really nice private cabins, a steak house, Brazos River,  and lots of horses.  Really nice location to paint.

Cecy Turner ( a fellow OPS member) and I drove down and painted today after bathing ourselves in bug spray.  The mosquitoes were unlike any thing I have ever seen.  But we changed locations, and that took care of it.

This painting spot was really nice, I especially liked the blue hills in the background with the contrast of the wildflowers  in the forground.  The colors were vivid and bright.   Reall interesting with the trail winding through the flowers.
