Travels of a plein air painter

Today was very long.  I painted until 7:30 p.m., four canvas total.  Painting mostly in the Toas  areas.  This little adobe gate and home was one of my favorites.  Taos  architecture, with all of its curves, is  a joy to paint.  I changed the color of the stucco  a little, so my painting would pop a bit.  Wow, who wouldn't like this gate, a lovely little gem welcoming one home from a long day.   This location is in an old plaza on the historic walking tour of Taos, Nm.    Certainly a spot I will return to paint again!

I also applied and was accepted to the Plein Air Artist of Colorado, PAAC.  I wanted to paint with the group before I joined so I could see what they were all about, and I'm glad I did.   They are  a great group of highly talented plein air artists.  This is a group I am very excited to be a part of.  I have been networking among artists, and made some very good friends.  Friends I think I will have for a lifetime.
