Travels of a plein air painter

Entry for October 19, 2006

Today I spent most of my time painting Turner Falls, in Oklahoma.  I is a great location for plein air painting.  It is easy to get to, with restrooms and a gated entry.

Painting white water for the first time was difficult, but a managed to get some field studies I am happy with.  And then I moved on to the streams and creeks of the National Park, spending a total of 4 days.

It was great fun to meet all the other painters on the trip.  Oklahoma has some really great people and painting areas.
