Wyoming Plein Air was good fun and great painting.  I painted everything from alleyways to the Snowy range, to private ranches.

I was excited and proud to win 2 nd place in the overall competition.  In this painting, I spent the afternoon at a beautiful Cheyenne ranch.  The owners allowed all of the artists to paint any where and everywhere we wanted.  It was really a great location.  I titled it "Before the Storm".  Because after this painting, the downpour begain.

See paintings from the show!

Well , You just never know who, or what you will run into plein air painting.  This is at the Continental divide, Georgia Pass, 12,000 ft. Colorado.    These are wild mountain goats.  They were very curious little guys.  There was a group of about 30 or so.  It was reall cool to see friendly wild animals.  This spot had multiple painting areas.  I will be back to visit my new friends, for sure. Ha,

Happy painting,  Deb

Well, I'm back from the River Rocks Plein Air, Idaho.  It was great fun, and the people were very nice.  I sold two paintings, and painted in the quick draw.

I also painted in the Waxahachie plein air, where I won the Eric Michael's Easel, as well as the Betty king award.  I sold a painting at that show as well, so last month has been very good to me.

Next I will be painting at the Wyoming Plein air, and Estes Park Plein Air.  So check back, those events pretty much take up the entire month of August, so if your in the area please check out my work.  The exact dates of the shows are on my events page.  So Happy Painting!

Wow what a great trip!  I saw it all, Ufitzi, David, Golden Doors, but my favorites were probably the Michael Angelo museum, and The modern art musueum in Venice.  Great art, good painting, and great fun overall.  The food was some of the most amazing food I have ever eaten. Just wonderful.  I painted in Florence, them moving on to Venice.  Venice's canal view were just so beautiful!  A painters dream.  I plan to paint from my studies, and have a show of  work from Italy next year.

If anyone is debating wether or not to go paint in Italy.  GO!!!
